black smoke question

Default black smoke question

ok i noticed that when i start my car nn let it run that there is a black spot on the ground where my exhaust is pointing. i do believe its carbon. so my question is, how do i clean that up in the motor for it to not do that anymore? thanks

what kind of exhaust are you using? does it have a cat? needs a new cat?

sounds normal...every 4th gen I've had ran a bit rich, especially when cold.

I guess your *fix* would be a complete tuneup if it has been awhile and then lean it out.

well its a d15b2 bottom end with a d16a6 head. pm6 ecu. so it does run rich.. but i think maybe the plugs are bad.. idk.
