Default upgrade wristpins?

Should I tear the motor down and upgrade the wristpins? I plan on making more than 600 this coming season and the motor was just buttoned up with stock pins. You think I should be fine? I called JE and they said the pins were around $20 a piece and should be upgraded with anything more than 500hp. Damn, they got me worried. Really thinking about it but I just got laid off which cut me back a lot.

you can definitely make over 500 on the "stock" wrist pins, in my opinion you'll be fine with them up to 700 after that, dont try it.

we made mid 700 whp for 2 seasons on standard off the shelf CP Wrist Pins -- no issues at all -- the engine in the car now has the upgraded CP wrist pins just because if figured why not...

suck it ***.

I deff think they are good for more then 500hp but whats an extra $20 when the engine is almost 10k. Its almost like tuning a car with crome, why even do it to yourself.

Dont worry Shawn, your new wrist pins are pretty thin. All motor cars are all about weight savings, lol
