Default 88 (mite be 89) teg RS motor

i have a 93 vx and i was looking through a junk yark looking for **** for my vx and i came across 88 integra rs that had been on a MINOR accident. its dohc but i cant get to the motor ID becuz the radiator is blocking it due to the accident...the motor looks real clean...they said it just came in about 2 weeks ago and i believe it cuz im always there...what kinda motor is this? im thinking of doing a swap

i thnk its a d series motor, even though its a dohc, i beleive its still a d series.

whats the minimum hp that a dohc (even tho it could be d series) motor produce? 100? i gotta 92 hp civic vx sohc so anything is better. i never knew d series came in dohc's.

The D16A2 (the only twincam D series) in the '88-'89 models produced 118 BHP. Still a big bump over a VX. I think HASport produces an engine mount kit.

I say, if it's cheap - buy it, build it, drop it in.

do i need a mount kit even though its a d motor? i know ill need an ecu and a cable to hydro adapter.

oh and big THANX! i knew u teg guys would know what motor that was!

heh...well, now that I think about it...D-series mounts are probably all the same. I don't know offhand. Something to look into...

somethings telling me the those engines dont fit in anything else but 3rd gen civics. i know its d series but the tranny mounts differently. lemme check it out for you.

that motor only bolts to the 84-87 Civic/Crx.
the driver-side mount won't work with anything else.
