Wheel Spacers
Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone knew if I would need to get extended wheel studs if I ran 10mm wheel spacers? I've seen both answers and I want someone that knows for sure, thanks guys.
Damn, I might just get the studs anyway, just to be safe.
I thinks stock wheels are like +40 offset so 25mm spacers would be like running +15 offset wheels. I have +25 wheels and I rub in the back sometimes but I don't have rolled fenders, so blackk20dc5 you prolly could make it work but with a fender roll.

I would just get the extended studs. My brother and a buddie have both had their studs break with a 10mm spacer and stock studs. My brother was going slow so very little damage but my buddie ****ed up his whole rear fender.
Play safe.
Play safe.
Yepp, definitely getting them now haha. Pros out weighs Cons, Pros: They're stronger, they look dope, I'll be able to run whatever spacers I want... Cons: They don't install themselves.... Ok, I'm sold, thanks guys!
is your car stock height? because right now im at stock and im getting coilovers so i could lower it just enough so they dont rub... or just get like 20mm i saw someone had those with the studs on it
okay to clarify things up, you can't run more than a 5mm spacer on stock studs. to do so is just plain stupid. it's no wonder your studs broke, because after the spacer + the wheel you'd probably be left with less than 5mm of stud left. the RSX stock stud is 25mm from the brake rotor hub.
keep in mind that since its only a 10mm spacer your wheel must have the notches in the wheel hub to keep from hitting the stock studs....an example of a wheel that will work with integrated stud spacers are Rotas, and an example of a wheel that won't work with them are Work wheels.
I wouldn't run above a 3mm spacer on the stock studs. Frankly, there isn't any reason to run a spacer without extended studs (except for the 25mm bolt on applications). Be safe about it.
I'm gonna get the studs. I wanted to get spacers for the front because I'm hoping to hit the track soon and I hear a wider front stance for FF cars helps with steering response. I also like a wider stance anyway. The wheels I have right now are +25 offset and I love the way the look and they're nice and flush. The wheels I'll be tracking with are +35 offset so a 10mm spacer will widen the stance as if I was running a +25 wheel again. I might even do a bigger spacer so I'll be getting the studs anyway, plus they'll be better for the abuse the track will be putting on stock studs.
