My buddy claims he just got a Jdm CRX RHD (straight from japan). And well he doesnt know much about cars. He bought it off some dude in cali his cousin new. I was like well i think Sir crx is glasstop hes like uhh no this one isn't the guy told me someone tried to break in it so the top is metal now. Is this common?
I wouldnt think redoing the whole roof would be easier then resealing a window. But I dont know how its set in there or anything.

 

look at the beginning of the VIN number - JDM CRX is JHMEF - USDM CRX is JHGED

Not true, i own a jdm crx siR glasstop.. vin starts with EF8 - **************

Remember theres the JDM SiR and the Si, most people probably haven't seen the jdm si.. as said the glasstop is an extra feature/option.

You can tell if it by many ways, obviously the front end.. signal side markers on both fenders, power folding mirrors, japanese writing on the door panels, tube speakers in the back, yellow spare tire/rim with japanese writing on it, gauge cluster and so on, the vin will be on the passenger side headlight housing (rhd), and will be blue with 17 numbers/letters if it is.
