Default Dyno Tuning Advice

Hello,
You all may remember I had my vehicle dynoed tuned at a domestic shop. They didn't know how to tune the VAFC so I had to do it myself. Good results with your help!
Anyhow, I just order some Skunk2 Stage 1 and cam gears. They should arrive this weekend at which time I'll go back to the import-ly challenged shop and try to tune them.
I hope you can give me some tips on what to do first. I have the VAFC, FPR, and adding CGs. What should I adjust first?
Thanks!

Adjust cam gears, then fpr, then v-afc.

Good luck.

Should timing be done last?

The stage 1's love to have the intake cam advanced. Fuel pressure stock, lower vtec to 5300 and take a little fuel from the top. BTW, cam gear tuning byitself =190 whp with stock ecu. Good luck

Exhaust cam tuning was useless on my car. What header do you have?

DC JDM, is that good?
So don't touch the exhaust cam... One less thing to worry about.
I'm having a friend of mine install the cams. He works at a dealership. Hopefully it won't be too bad. I'm going to be watching/assisting him. Anything I should make sure of during the install?

That header is fine. Remember, don't use the pin holes in the cams to line up with the cam plate holes. Skunk cams don't line up. Also, the cam gears are off as well. You can play with the exhaust cam but it did nothing for me. Remember when you move the intake cam the static timing changes.

MPH, how long have you spent tuning your car? I got mined tuned last Friday and only got 186.1/130.1 with stock fuel pressure, 5400 vtec point and cam adjustments. Im using Kenji's p28 as well as a JG ported head.

I got about 28 minutes of tuning before my time was up .

Should I take it somewhere else to tune and try it again? I was aiming for around 190/133.

I take it that you have a GSR? What mods?

So what holes should I tell him to line them up with?
Here's what I plan on doing let me know how this sounds.
1. Set timing at 18 degrees.
2. Start advancing intake cam.
3. Set FPR at stock. What's stock settings, I forgot.
4. Lower VTEC to 5200 rpm.
5. Adjust VAFC for 13:1 ratio across the board.

The right way would be to degree the cam gears. Or you could get lucky like me and i get it right the 2nd time around (off a tooth the 1st time).

1. 18 degrees timing is good.
2. Remember to retard the timing (back to 18) with the jumper after you advance the intake
3. Stock for me is 52 wot (pinched)
4. 5300 vtec = no bog
5. Don't waste most of your dyno time with the a/f. Cam gear tuning is where the power is going to come from. After you get power than fine tune with the vafc. Could see 5whp from 7400+ with fine tuning. Depends what your a/f looks like.

Its a 00 Itr.

JG Redline head .020 mill
SKunk 1 cams
aem cai
jdm 4-1
2.5 cat/piping
kenji p28
fields controller
no a/c-p/s
b&m fpr

I was looking to get somewhere around your area in power. But Im not sure if I just need someone else to tune it, taking there time and not always looking at the clock.
