Can someone verify that this intake is from a 01-05?
Hey guys. I recently picked up a bunch of civic parts from a nurse at my work. Her son had all these parts on his car but took them off before he sold it. He ended up moving and left all his parts at here house. She told me she would let me have them for 40 bucks.
Now, Im a car guy (currently have a srt-4) but I dont know much about civic's and the mom didnt know what year of car it was( she guessed it was a 2001).
So can anyone let me know if this intake is from the 01-05 civics? If not, Im guessing it fits onto the previous generation. Thanks in advance.

based on the fact its set up for a top mount tb i'd say its for a D17 (01-05 civic) not a D16 from the earlier generations.
Alright great, thank you. Another quick question.
In the bunch of parts was a weighted shift ****. Its threaded so am I right in assuming that it will just screw on without the need of screws? If this is correct, is the thread pattern specific for the 01-05 civics or will it work with older/newer models as well?
Also, I got an aftermarket exhaust manifold/header and axle back exhaust. Are these only for the d17?

if the shift **** is threaded it should fit any honda/acura and maybe more.
the header and axleback will fit only 01-05 civic without modification. the header will only work on EX if it is for an EX or LX/DX if its for LX/DX

i dont know of any way off the top of my head for aftermarket. the OEM versions the DX/LX has a cat on it and the EX is a tubular header.

The intake is a K&N Typhoon SRI.
I could be wrong, but by the looks of it, that header is for an LX or DX. I say that because on my EX the flange is just below the intersection of where the four tubes are joined together. An LX or DX has the cat. built into the OEM header, making it longer than an EX header.
EX: D17A2
LX/DX: D17A1
Edit: Yes, the intake is the right one.

Alright, sounds good to me. Now I just need to try and sell all the stuff I bought. I have no idea how much any of it is worth.
Thanks again you guys, if I have any other questions I will be sure to come back here.

I just remembered there I one other part I got and I have no idea what it is. Ill have to go get a picture of it.
I also got a cylinder head as well. Are those specific for the D17A1?

cylinder head is specific as well. Easiest way to tell is to look for the EGR passageway on the side of the head opposite the cam gear, and look for the VTEC solenoid ports to the right of the #4 intake port. If there's ports there, its an A2 head... Of course... if the solenoid is still attached, then its much easier to tell.
Thanks for the additional verification.
What do you guys think a cylinder head is worth for those cars? Im guessing not very much. 40-50 bucks?

the vtec head is worth about 200 if it's in good shape. the non vtec heads are almost worthless. ive had a few and got more money recycling them than trying to sell them.
Alright another picture.

This is the cylinder head(or I think its a cylinder head?) that I got. Im guessing its a non vtec head since it only has 16 valves. Is that correct? To the guy who said he recycled them, how much did you end up getting? Its pretty heavy so I guess it might be worth a couple of bucks.
Thanks.

you have a non-vtec cylinder head. I got maybe $40 for it from a recycler. the second item is the thermostat housing and EGR solenoid. I don't know the demand for that assembly, but if someone were to buy all that stuff new, it's really expensive.
