Default trouble codes 4 and 8

Ok, here we go. I have been driving my car with trouble code 4 (crank position sensor) for about 2 weeks. The only thing it was doing was at 3500 rpm's it stops reving, like a rev limiter or something. So this evening I was driving home and the damn thing just quite. It will crank but that is it. Now I have trouble code 8 (Top dead center sensor) Now, normally I would think that I just dropped my timing belt. But I checked on the search feature and some people were saying that there tdc sensor is in the dizzy just like the crank pos. sensor. Is this true? If this is the case that means that I would only have to replace the dizzy and I would be ok right?
