The owner of Garage 808 and I are fabbing up my new manifold. SCH 40 SS 1 1/2". Its going in a CRX with a BW S372r and dual tial 44's. looking for some input and criticism

Pretty hard to tell anything from the pics. Are you building a divided manifold, it looks like the cylinder pairing is wrong. I also would of tried to get the wastegates closer to collector.
id have to agree i dont really like the wastegate placement. i mean i know space is tight but trying to merge your wastegates in at that angle to the 2 collectors is not going to work as well as youd think. you expecting exhaust gases to flow in the opposite direction of the path that its flowing. air doesnt make sharp turns unless you influence it. i understand this is a drag car and its not really important to you to be able to keep the boost low but still its very inefficient. any reason why your running twinscroll? how much power are you looking to make and what times are you aiming for?

the wastegates come off of the different sides. it is a divided manifold, 1 and 4 go to the front and 2-3 to the rear. the WG elbows are after the 2 pipes merge. i will hav updated pics tonight

we will be changing the routing of runner 3. it'll drop out and under runner 1, then into the collector

ya, we were really limited as to where to put the gates, where they are at now, the just fit under the fiberglass front end.
that manifold looks very heavy for a drag car. like i said previously, why didn't you use thin wall tube? looks like you have plenty of room to run braces to support the turbo.
just a thought.

I went with heavier material for strength and weight. the car was very close to the min weight for the class i want to run, and weight out over the front is good. i realize i could have just added weight in the traction bar or frame horns.
yes, james is doing the welding. we will be re-doing the #3 runner friday, and then he should be welding it soon, after that the DP and dumps will be fabbed, and then the new charge piping
