smog/cat help
Help!!! I live in orange county, ca and need some help with smog. I bought a cat the last time I got smogged and it must've been too small because it didn't pass
and my smog hookup expired. Can anyone recommend a cat that will help me pass? I've got a 89 crx si with header and intake.

go to kragen amd buy SEAFOAM, the take off your brake booster line and either w/ a funnel poor it in, or insert the tube into the can and suck it out, i usually use the whole can, be ready for the engine to bogg and try to die but just rev it to keep it up, it will smoke alot but let it idle for abut 20 min after its all in there and you will good to go, you should pass no probs

To original poster, if you can post the smog test result, maybe we help pin point the source of your smog issue. And if you need a CAT, just go to any muffler shop and ask them for a replacement CAT for your specific car, shouldn't cost more than $100 and is CARB legal.
Man that's what I did, but the cat they sold me was too small (the next larger one was too big and wouldn't fit). Anyone have a muffler shop they know of that has decent cats in the orange county area?
