jdm hood
i have a jdm crx and a b16 swapped usdm crx. you can fit a b16 in with a usdm hood just fine. the b16s and ls motors are about half an inch shorter than the rest of the b series engines. i was staring at the underside of the hood today and it looks like it adds about an inch of clearance. plenty safe for a swap!
I didn't have any issues with the B16 but I swapped an ITR in and then had clearance issues. I bought the VIS JDM style carbon hood and it does have quite a bit more clearance than the stock unit. Not sure about H series though. This just came up on another post though, I posted some pics of the inside of my hood to give you a better idea. Here's the link.

Will DEFINATELY NOT have room for an H, maybe if you get a JDM style hood and hood spacers but H blocks are really tall man. I have a roommate with an H23 from a JDM Accord SI-R wagon, its not in a Civic but I was still amazed at how big the motor is, no wonder they call it the big block 4.
