Default Carbing Front Lower Tie Bar inquiries

I was on http://www.ajracing.com and saw the Carbing Front Lower Tie Bar for the DC2, i was wondering what the quality is like on this bar compared others. I know that IS backed by a good name and therefore I assume it is pretty good. But how is it compared to the CUSCO lower tie bar?

TIA

I like Cusco bars better than Carbing bars... Carbing aluminum bars has welds that are very choppy compared to Mugen welds. Carbing only comes in the aluminum color and I prefer Cusco anodized look better. None-the-less, Carbing is a good sturdy bar, but my vote goes to Cusco bar for $50 (in Japan).

Carbing sits a bit higher compare to Cusco . They work pretty much the same but for clearance issue, I'll go for the Carbing.

That's true... Shane (kengs) couldn't put Cusco bar on his '00 Si, 'cuz it sat way too low... espcially with his coil-overs.

The carbing lower arm bars are steel and painted WHITE! The Cusco aluminum bar is made by Okuyama (Carbing) to their specs!

I recently heard about front lower tie bars having clearance issues with the JDM 4-1. Is there a bar out that doesn't have clearance problems? How about the Tanabe?

LOL, you know better than that

My clearance issues were with the JDM 4-1 ITR header; could get the Cusco bar to clear the bracket for the lower heat shield

Yeah i had that problem, as daly has stated. That bracket actually doesnt really do much (no place for bolts or anything) so i cut it right in half and banged it in to gain clearance for my JDM header. Worked like a charm. As for what front lower tie bars do, same thing as rear ones just connected to the front suspension. I REALLY noticed a difference (read: less understeer) with my bar. CUSCO owns.
