1993 Accord brake lamps staying on when car is off
Hello my little brother's 1993 Accord LX brake lamps are staying on when turning the car off to the point where the battery died overnight.
I tried searching but couldn't find the same problem (most people talking about a brake light indicator). I've heard that it could be the switch at the top of the brake pedal, but I'm not sure what to do with it.
Any help?
Thanks in advance.

Hey, I know on my 1990 Civic, when this happened, it was due to a small clip that is attached to the brake pedal that broke. Does your brother see a few small pieces of blue broken plastic on the floor around the brake? Tell him to get inside the car on the floor, and look up at the brake pedal. Up near the top of it, there is a place where the pedal touches a button which causes the lights to go off when the pedal is not being pushed. There is a small plastic grommet that attaches to the pedal and pushes this button to shut it off but if the grommet (small blue plastic thing) is broken, the lights will stay on. Just look for a small hole on the pedal across from the button up on the brake pedal and put a bolt with a nut through it or he can go buy the little blue grommet. I just used a bolt and it wokred fine.
