i have a d-series cylinder head with this code ..... P08-1 (9/4) on rs of code, ive searched and cant find exactly what it is. i know the JDM D15B head code is P08-1 but ive heard theres a rumored or rare d16z6 with an aggressive cam thats also stamped P08-1. any info or help would be appreciated

 

the 9/4 indicates its a 94' year head. Im like 99.9999% sure theres no rare agressive z6 head out there, there all the same. If the d15b code is what you listed then thats what it is most likely

 

it's probably a d15b head. The cam lobe widths are going to tell you which cam you have. do a search on google and you'll probably find what i mean.

One has wide cam lobes and the other has narrow, I just cant rembmer which is which.

 

yeah i know d15b cam lobed are all wide, and there are two different kinds of z6 lobe they have a z6 thin lobe and a z6 wide lobe, i checked the #'s on my cam and it doesnt match the coding for a d15b or d16z6 the code on my cam is D624 Anyone who can tell me what cam please let me know thanks

 

does it seem to be a stock cam? could it be aftermarket?

 

i dont think its aftermarket because aftermarket dont have stamping in the place that the stock cam does
