Post Lowering Help

Hey I was wondering if when lowering my car, is it ok to get the springs only? Is it smart? I'm looking in to getting the sportline kit from eibach.
Thanks.

Usually with that small of a drop, it is ok to use the stock shocks, but much lower than that, you might risk blowing them out, and even with those springs, and stock shocks, you might get a little bouncy, but nothing too noticalbe.

im rocking the sportlines and i love them. the ride quality is very good. it rides smoother than the oem springs on some situations, and sometimes its a little bit stiffer, but not anything bad. overall the ride is excellent. heres a pic of my car on sportlines.

Did you change your rear camber kit? Or do you have the factory ones?

Oh and I'm just looking at the Tein S tech springs, that should drop about 1.5"? Is that okay with the stock camber kits?

if you goto jhpusa.com you can get the skunk 2 springs and shocks as a kit for like 500 and the camber kits like another 200 250ish. if i was you id buy shocks too. i had some blow out on my accord and it sucks driving a car with blown out shocks. if you want a good ride quality get new shocks and get the camber kit bc if you dont your gonna have to buy tires in a month which is gonna be more than the camber kit anyways

It will sag a little lower, and on large bumps will rock the car more. I think they're new tires b/c stock is 215, ivtec is rocking 225s. Right?

No....you can keep the 215 tires because it's just a width dimension....not height. The sportlines will give you 1.4" drop front and back.

No, you can stick with stock spec tires. I was just asking if ivtec was on 225's. If you're going to stick with stock wheels, there's no need to up the tire size besides one's own preference.

If you get Tein S you'll have to address the rear camber. I've been there and switched to
the HFP suspension.

Ahh yes, just the right person. I was looking into getting skunk2 shocks and springs. But I've also came across HFP. Which do you prefer? Is the HFP Drop significant?

3/4 inches. Not significant but there it is.

Oh ok, I just got new shoes for the car and I noticed that the front of my car is like higher than the back. the back looks like its been dropped already. I don't know, but I guess I'll need coilovers, any suggestions?

The HFP set-up is great and an improvement over the stock struts and Tein S springs.
The drop is about 3/4 of an inch. I just had a re-alignment and will not have to deal
with the rear camber issue. The car drives great and I don't have to worry about
speed bumps, big dips etc. The only thing I miss with the Tein S springs is the look
with the larger drop.

im going to answer all of your questions. going from your first post to your most recent.

1.) well the spring retailed for 335, and i got them for 225. the rear camber kit from skunk2 was 328 and i got it for 230. and i got them installed for 100 bucks.

2.) i have no clue if it voided my warranty. and the ide quality is similar to stock.

3.) those are not my stock tires. those are falken ziex's and the size is 225/45 r17. my car rides smoother with more people in it.

K5:

1.)yes those are 225 =] one downfall on the 225's though.
they are slightly wider than my oem mudflaps so water just flings up the side of my car

A good wax will keep it safe. Low offset with matching sized tires would look sick especially with your drop. Gotta make some sacrifices right?

oh i know that. but im just saying, like after you wash your car and you drive it sometimes water will fling up. and it comes up behind my rear tires cuz my mudflaps cant stop it. i just get a moist towel and wipe it off and its good to go
