its best if you have the crx/hatch si harness it makes it alot easier. i'm in the process of doing the same thing and all i'm lacking is the harness. good luck finding one i been searching everywhere and cant find one thats not all cut up.

You didn't state what exact parts you are going with so I'm assuming you are going to be doing the DPFI to MPFI and replacing your DX ECU with the 88~91 MPFI ECU.

You MUST use the 88~91 Si MPFI dizzy becuas your DX DPFI dizzy can only control 2 injectors and not 4.

You can NOT use the Z6 distributor or any OBD1 or OBD2 distrubutor with an OBD0 ECU.
They send differnet pulses to the ECU and it won't run.

You should use the stock harness as it will be FAR easier than trying to make the Si one work. Si harness plugs and pinouts are not compatable with your DX cabin harness.

BTW: search for DPFI to MPFI. It's been covered many times so I'm sure you will find all parts lists and additional details you need. If you have any additional questions then post back - I'm sure people will be more than happy to help!

^^^^

woah back it up. so you can use the stock harness. dont mean to flame your thread or nothing but, i've always been told you have to use an si harness cause its already set up for mpfi. so what do you do just wire in the other two injectors?

you can use a si harness. Its just a big pain. Repinning needs to be done on the shock towers and the driverside shocktower needs to be changed.

Ok not trying 2 be a ****
Use the parts that belong 2 the motor

If its a z6 head get the vtec dizzy cause the none v dizzy the legs are diff and they won't bolt up..

If the motor is a vtec motor use the (p28 ecu)
If its not then (p06)

If ur gonna use a jumper harness obd0-obd1.
Ur gonna replace the injectors plugs to obd1 plugs...
then take off the resistor box and soder all those wires together ...

on the green plug, one of the wires is yellow - it goes to injector #1 - the other wire is yellow with a black stripe - it goes to the injector resistor box - the red wire on the brown plug goes to injector #3 - the other wire is yellow with a black stripe - it also goes to the resistor box

this is because the mpfi and the dpfi wire colors are different u will have to use the distributor plug from the si harness that u should be using as a donor harness look at this diagram carefully.....

goodluck

if u look for montech harnesses on ebay u could buy everything u need, but to run a obd1 dizzy u would need a dist. jumper sub-harness. but it would cost around $200 easy all together harness obd1 dist. harness. but if u run a obd 1 dizzy then u would need a obd1 po6 ecu or any other obd1 ecu. so ur gonna have to change the ecu regardless. either obd1 p06 or a obd0 pm6

i bought a 90 civic a year ago with this mpfi swap done to it and i had a hell of a time getting this thing to pass deq.i tried tuning it myself with no luck.i talked to the owner of urban imports about it and he said that he had done some of them but it was always a bitch to get it passed.so i took it to rrev and jeff looked at and he could not find any problem with how it was done.pm6 ecu with modified harness and si dist.he could not get it to pass.so i live in washington where you can take it to a certified shop and if you spend 200 dollars to fix it and it does not pass they will give you a waiver.so they got it close to passing but i ended up with a waiver.so i have a year left to fix this thing.all three of these shops say that you can not turn the si dist far enough to get it in tune to pass deq.so im asking you guys your experiance with this swap passing deq.i have heard that it will pass in oregon because they dont run the car on a roller.so this leaves me with doing a mini me or swaping in a z6 all together.any help here would be great.i have read all the threads on this mpfi already with no mention of tunning the thing to pass deq.
