Default Apex'i WS2 Question

Hey, I've been searching for a new exhaust to replace my current one (N1 catback). From the recommendations I've gotten from you guys, I'm deciding to go with the WS2. I do have a question though. Since I already have the piping from my N1, can I just buy a WS2 universal exhaust and use my current piping, or do I have to buy the whole catback?

The reason I ask is because I want my exhaust to be a little louder than stock but not as loud as my N1 is now. So I wanted to know if my current piping with a universal WS2 would sound just like a catback WS2. Thanks for reading and your help.

if u go universal, u would still have the git it weld'd on. WS2 is the best aftermarket muffler IMO. go for it. u wont regret.

yea I know I'll have to get it welded on, I just wanted to know if it would sound the same as the full catback if I used my piping from my N1 catback. I want a quieter exhaust, and everyone has told me that it's a little louder than stock and sounds nice in the higher rpm's. I've listened to the soundclips from guys on here and it sounds really good, and you hear mostly the engine rather than exhaust.

Thanks.

i swear the ws2 will just bolt up. i went the other way and put an n1 axle back on my ws2 piping and it fit the same. I'd say just find the axle back and call it a day., then you can interchange between the 2 if u like.

If I could find an axle-back then I would get it, but it's hard finding someone who has an axle-back for sale. So that's why I'm asking about the universal. Also does anyone know if I would need to get the universal with an offset inlet or can I use a regular centered inlet?

Thanks again for the suggestions and help.

I'm actually thinking of getting an N1 axleback for my WSII piping. But I don't know.

It will fit fine. What is the diameter of the n1 piping? I don't know off the top of my head

anything 2.25in and bigger will sound great and I definitely assume the N1 is as big or bigger than 2.25

I have my ws2 muffler welded on to 2.5in custom piping.

yes there are several different size piping for inlet and outlet for the universal ws2 mufflers...they are usually 200..
