88/89 VS 90/91 Crx Subtle differences ??
Hows' everyone doing
I just picked me up a 88 Crx Si for a good price (man I have to many cars)
Anyway Im hearing there are some changes in the rear suspension on the 88-89 Crx's, I know there are some small things like the seat belt isnt on the door, the tailights, front and rear bumpers No rear disk and its about 150 pounds lighter.
any other differences? not that its a real big deal I know they are still basically the same but I like to know my way around all my cars
any help would be great thanks guys

I think the hazard light button is in a different spot. One is behind the steering wheel and the other one is on the dash. Pretty useful information huh?
Rear suspension (drums vs discs), hazard button on dash, whole dash part around gauge cluster, belts, corner lights - 90-91's are rounded in the corner....and the 88-89's are pointy, the turn signals are different too....they are orange instead of white w/ orange bulb...the tail lights are different too...the reverse signals are little squares on the older ones instead of just a long rectangle...there's probably more...but that's the only diffs I can remember off of my brothers car and mine!

Supposedly the rear wheels turn a lil bit when you make a turn. I'm upgrading my 88 to the 89+ rear suspension soon though....

Basically, too many people in north america looped their 88 civic/crx so they went with the crappy 89-95 style of rear LCA. Note, they brought back the 88 LCA on the 97-00 Type R. So, figure out what you think is best...
Not neccesarily passive as you the driver don't turn the rear tires, but passive as in it allows the toe to change slightly in a turn. Allowing the car to follow a tighter radius. But I could be wrong. If you want to "upgrade" I'll trade you yours for mine. J/k
passive rear steering
sticker that says "passive steering inside"
In all honesty, I love the way my car handles, and wouldn't change the suspension setup for anything.
