If you get up to 32 mpg in the city, then your mileage isn't too bad. But yeah, a bad O2 sensor could reduce mileage.

After you fix the CEL codes, do a basic tune up (replace plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor), if you are still not satisfied with the mileage.

Yeah that would be your problem...

As for your signature....

If it's converted to an Si minus the motor, what have you done? Sway bars, interior, strut bar, cluster, climate control....

But 27-32 mpg is TERRIBLE for a lean burn motor that other users get 38mpg city with.. it has a generic primary o2 in it, so I think i'm gonna buy the oem o2 for like 400$ and see what happens.

That car is ugly as ****. But I dont race other cars (except my buddies cavalier.. '05 or some ****, 5spd, 2.2, which he says "has exhaust, intake, and 'tuned by a laptop' " lolz.. and surprisinlgy I smoked him from a roll. Other than that I've never raced it. It's my gas mileage car, but the Si's look better..

Ya has bigger sways, Si interior (very comfortable), front strut bar, and aftermarket white gauge cluster, and the obvious body mods.

White aftermarket gauges aren't si gauges. 15in enkies aren't si wheels. A d series isn't an si engine. Is it painted MR EBP or FBP? Did you at least convert the entire front end from a 98 to 99-00? otherwise it just has the si interior and a strut bar. Not quite an Si. Trust me, I should know.

don't spend $400 on an OEM o2. get the direct fit ones from the part stores. the generic ones have a tendancy to **** out and not perform as well.

also have you tuned it up lately? (cap, rotor, plugs, wires blah blah blah?)

don't please... don't. honestly i understand why you did it. i was being a dick. i agree the SI front end is way sexier then the other front ends of that generation but save honda owners the embarassment of a SOHC SI. please. the idea is good but claiming SI status and badging it are two different things. - bottom line if you pull up next to a real Si you are going to get spanked. and those Si's aren't even that fast.

haha i bet its a mock up FMIC. i only posted that to prove a point that no matter what front end is on your car it doesn't change what it is. i drive a 93 cx with a b16a and don't claim siR. idk maybe i am just weird.

I already HAVE a direct fit one.. cost like 100$.. both are brand new.. and thats why my cel is on. i've done some research and I NEED oem on this leanburn car. Otherwise the CEL will stay on and it will keep failing inspection. It's good though. Hopefully I wont have to ever buy another one lol.

I've done plugs, wires are pretty new, and I've cleaned out the fuel system/TB etc..

And I really DONT race with this car lol. Thats what my Del Sol is for. I call it my HX/Si hybrid.. I dont tell people it's an Si.
