I have 4th gen prelude and when I drive on the road which is not tarmac I hear strange sound from the back of the car like knocking. I doubt that it comes from the boot.
I took everything from the boot but I still hear the sound. I checked it in the service center but no clue of what this sound is.
They also checked the bottom chassis but everything is fine. Then I thought that it comes from sway bar but it is also fine.
My friends also experience such problem.

If you have such experience or had before, can you tell me what that might be?

Just a thought, have you check the rubber hangers(black oval things) on your exhaust?

I had that problem on my hatchback. I would take a turn and there was a banging in the rear. It turned out to be a broken rubber hanger on my exhaust and it would rock side to side and bang around.

Just a thought!!!!

 

I wonder if your pass through to the boot is banging

 

Exhaust pipe is fine I have checked it
when rubber hanger is broken it is banging not knocking
