Default Random paint question about Civics...

How come almost all colours available for Civics are neutral colours?
(nearly all Japanese cars are only available in neutral colours)
Is it the same in the U.S.A. too?

In Canada for a regular coupe or sedan,
it seems there's two kinds of silver,
two kinds of light "earth tones"; beige and light grey,
a dark grey,
a plain white and plain black,
a dark () metallic red
and a darkish metallic blue (mine, not bad; given the choices)

I would like to see some models with brighter colours.
Caribbean-style colours perhaps?
I'd like to see bright turquoise, bright yellow, bright green etc.

Because when Honda tried to sell an Orange Civic, it was an epic failure. The US doesn't take too kindly to odd colored cars, unless they're sports cars or exotics.

JDM Fit (Jazz) stock color:

That bright enough?

I agree orange is unusual,as is that "mauve" car you posted,
but yellow seems to be popular with a lot of sporty cars.
Even bright green or turquoise (Hawaiian sea colour) isn't too unusual on some sporty cars.

If you look at a lot of pictures of cars from the 1960's for example,
a lot of today's cars colours tend to be a lot darker,
yet I've never met anyone who actually appreciates the darker colour style.

If I wanted something dark, I'd buy black... simple as that.
Yet a lot of the "colours" offered by car companies are virtually different shades of black.

Actually that is a dull looking colour.
It looks like a metallic pastel, since it has a softish look to it.
The guys coat's colour is almost bright coloured.

What does JDM mean?

JDM = Japanese Domestic Market.

That pink Japanese Jazz (Fit) is a stock color. Bad pic (all I could find), but it is a pastel pink color.
