b17a1 into eg
So I just picked up a b17 today for cheap and I'm confused as to what I need to drop it in. Seeing as how it's out of a da I'm assuming I would need 94+ integra tranny/driver mounts, rear T bracket? Is the driver side mounting post the same on da's as dc? I did a bunch of searching and couldn't find a straight forward answer.
you will need a tranny and mounts, and your rear L mount.. the mounting post should be the same.. but since it's a b17a1 you won't need a distributor or anything because it's an obd1 motor... you'll also need a 94 up half shaft and axles.. you can use any b series linkages except del sol b series linkages..

yeah the b17's are very nice.. I was wanting one, but here they wanted one for more than a b18c1.. I told them to forget it lol.. they are hard to come by motors though...
Yeah 94EG8 done answered the ? for me lol.. thank you...

b17 sux... its just an uber rare motor other then thats its blahh..... dont mean to hate.. the only good thing is b17 head can use some parts off a b16 intake mani.. b18c1 cant.
speaking from experience behind the wheel of a b17a in an ef chassis,.. there is not too much difference between the b16 and b17 for torque but it's definitely a rare motor... the only reason i got it was cause it was readily available to me but that was a few years back... the p61 computer is awesome because of the knock sensor... its saved my *** a few times i've hit fuel cut off
ive got a b17 in an eg and i use the shift link out the 92 integra and th axles also. but i did have to use the 94 rear mount. Also u may have to have injectors depends if the car had the resistor box from the factory
to use the axles out of it in an Eg he would have to change the seal on the hydro tranny for the one that comes in the cable tranny so that the axles can fit...
