SOHC Non-VTEC ZC vs. SOHC VTEC ZC swap
My main concern is how smog legal (California) the SOHC VTEC ZC swap would be in my '89 DX. I read other threads on this forum about the difficulties of the DOHC swap and ease of the SOHC non-VTEC in regards to passing CA smog, but need advice on the SOHC VTEC ZC.
1) According to BAR, is this engine a direct replacement for the D16Z6?
2) If so, is this engine considered a legal swap for my 89 DX?
3) Will the fact that it's VTEC be considered a no-no for my car when it gets smogged?
Thanks

the sohc non-vtec zc is a replacement for the a6. its fine.
the vtec one on the other hand might be fine, might not. depends on the tech.
