Default help with my b18b exhaust set-up?

okay, i'm just about satisfied with my suspension..just a couple more things to iron out...time to work on my engine's breathing ability. i already have an AEM intake. i would prefer to stay away from the aftermarket exhausts. interested in the least amount of harrassment from the cops and that "stock" look/sound

would my b18b benefit from a jdm itr 4-1 header with a 2.5" cat, and say...an itr axleback with custom 2.5" piping?

i have plans for some n/a motor work in the future, but the time till then is indefinite. should i just stick with a 2.25" setup?

any suggestions appreciated. thanks.

Of course you will benefit from the set up you just said...

Have you considered the Mugen Twin Loop? It's really nice and doesn't sound loud at all. But the ITR is a good choice too IMO.

mugen twin loop eh? i just did a search on that...sounds like a quality piece but a bit on the expensive side. thanks for the suggestion, though.

also, to add to my previous post, would the itr exhaust become more of a restriction at some point in time...say, if i were to build up my b18b internally down the road?

mugen too expensive? i say get the APEXi WS. Quiet, Good Gains, Subtle Tip (you can even paint the muffler for a more subtle look).

if your mid-section in 2.25", 2.5" header & axle-back won't breath any better than 2.25". Mid-section will be the bottleneck restriction.

I've tested my stock itr axle back w/2.25 custom piping vs. straight through design obx muffler w/2.25 custom piping and et's were pretty much the same but the OBX still gave me ~1 mph higher in trapspeed...stock itr is still somewhat restrictive
