no power at the fuel pump.. somone helpp!
ok heres the deal.. my car ran fine before i took it apart. i took out my lsvtec to shave my bay and respray the car. i relocated the main fuse box into my glove compartment with out cutting any wires at all... i tore out my interior to change my floor harness to one with power windows, and when i decided it was time to see if the power windows worked was when i noticed i have no power to my fuel pump. now i put the original floor harness back into my car and still nothing. so i reinstalled the power window floor harness, figuring it wasnt the floor harness. every last thing that the floor harness operates works 100 percent fine except the fuel pump. and everything else as far as headlights and interior electrical things function fine too... like the blower motor and radio. is there anyway i lost my fuel pump be relocating my fuse box to my glove box? i didnt cut any wires so i dont see how this is possible. the only other thing i have noticed is that my ebrake light is always on now, even if the brake is released, the light just gets slightly dimmer, but remains lit. where did something go wrong??? anyone with anyhelp in tracking down my fuel pump issue?? the car is still apart and has no motor currently... so its fairly east to get at whatever.
ohh and i followed the yellow wire with the green stripe directly from the fuel pump up to the main relay... when the ignition is turned on the main relay dosent send power back out the other matching wire. but if i jump the terminals 5 and 7 the fuel pump kicks right on. i was guessing the main relay might have gone bad but i dont see any way possible. i didnt touch it at all and it worked fine before all of this. i even pulled the relay apart and the board dosent seem to have any cracks or loose connections... so what i came up with for now is that there is no short in the power wire going to the pump because the relay never sends it out in the first place... i find it really hard to believe the relay is bad but ill try another one to double check. other then that.. anyone have any suggestions or help???

i tried a new main relay and still nothing.. so i decided to unwrap the harness and wiggle all of the wires going into the main relay and the fuel pumped kicked on... and the harness was never touched or cut.. wtf??? and i still have the mysterious e-brake light, and now i have a cel!!! i quit for the day but tomorrow im gonna read the cel and figure out what code its throwin and go from there... i never thought id have this kind of a trouble with a harness that wasnt ever even bothered with! hopefully i can sort through the problems and ill keep yous updated on what problems still exist. thanks for everyones input!
