What kinda of lip is on the Realtime ITR?
http://www.itrca.com/faq/index.asp
Where can I find the same lip that is on the realtime R's like the one in the link. I always thought they used a stock R lip but they don't look the same. Anyone know where I can find one? TIA

Yep. It's custom. I contacted them to try to buy a new or damaged one and they don't want to sell. I'm struggling with building my own, almost finished.
I've asked the parts chief of the RTR team. It's a custom made fiberglass splitter.
In order to install the splitter, you will have to cut out the lower part of Integra's front bumper. And RTR is not interested at all to sell this splitter because they doubt anyone would damage their oem front bumper in the first place. "Lots of downforce" is what they told me about this splitter.

where do these cars mount the brake c00ling ducts? The turn signals are blocked off, and I don't see any ducting thru the opening in the center of the bumper.

shi - who was just curious

the ducts run inside the bumper opening on both sides....at the very far corners.
on me!Now that you mention it, they don't use "hose", they have some big shaped CF pieces that direct the air. s0lly Ed
ex-ITR race car driver Andrew Sites had the RTR front splitter replicated, and produced a couple of them in hope of finding a market for mass production. I saw it in person and it was really nice. I believe it had the undertray as well.
It's really too bad he sold the car

ok.
put it this way.
on a ITR. even at stock height. if you even attempt to fabricate a replica exactly and sport it on your street driven car, you will have an empty wallet very quickly

Yasu has one on his ITR:
It is the same as the ones on the Realtime R's. I don't remember where they got them though. You could use the Link in my SIG to Yasu's site "ATS USA" and inquire about it to him yourself.
Good luck,
A.

Hope depot low tech splitter: Roger Foo used a piece of plywood cut to the shape of the front of his car similar to the pic of the RTR ITR underside in this thread....
The Mugen front air dam also has this undertray but is a pain if you have to change oil or work on the underside and so a removable version that does not shatter on bottoming out would be nice....
wood is cheap and the plank can be removed easily when you need to work underneath...
now how practical would that be day in and day out?
I guess if you are shooting for looks then it's another story but who looks at your undertray anyway and cares? It's all about functionality and not appearances....or is it?

How about usign a piece plastic, or maybe something more flexible, not cheap plastic that will shatter on contact but soft enough to take hits on the road and just scratch up than crack. I was thinking polypro like the front bumper but that is expensive, unless you have a hook up, but it may also be heavy depending on how thick the sheet would be. I would have thought ply wood would be much harder to mount and dismount and heavier. for a quick mount/dismoung tabs on the plastic could weld on to attach to strategic locations of the bumper support, easily accesable by locking pins.
There are alot of plastics that would take a beating and not shatter it is just of matter of how much you want to pay for it, I will call Tap plastics other supplier and find out how much is a sheet of Polypro, it is usually sold in set sizes so if anyone is interested people could split the cost of however many can be made of the sheet.
How thick is the undertray that RTR uses Mugen makes, or what thickness would be good for something liek this?
the diffuser (underside) is what I was interested in..
