SiR hood clearance
I've been looking for fiberglass hoods, and finally found some but they're ZC style and "big vent" style. I've been mainly looking for the SiR style since I want to run ITBs tilted upwards and the added height of the center part should help, but I'm not so sure. Is it worthwhile to go for the SiR style or is the increased height negligible?
I bought the hood just to clear the ITR swap, but it definitely has more room under there. This one is CF but will give you some idea.

I hope this helps. I haven't seen a glass version of these though, of course I didn't really look either.

Is that a clutch reservoir i see in that pic to the right of the MC?
DO you have an ITR intake pipe on it? Do you have a better pic of the intake?
I wanted to buy an ITR arm but i wasn't sure if it would rub the shock tower or not.

the intake is a ghetto fab piece that I made a while back. I've been thinking of revising it but it isn't at the top of my list

Not sure with the B, but the SiR hood with its underwebbing cut out will clear a k20. Any other OEM hoods won't. So, I guess it makes a significant enough difference in room to be warranted (at least on a k series)

Looks like the added clearance will be useful. Now, only to find a fiberglass or even metal version of the SiR-style.
That hydro conversion; is the clutch master cylinder outside/mounted on the firewall or is it the one mounted inside?

The Hydro swap was a combined effort between Do*It Dyno and Kiwi Motors. The MC is mounted on the outside of the firewall although you can hardly see it with the positioning. Its stuffed in between the brake booster and the shock tower. Then a hard line from there down, then its all OEM components in terms of the soft line and fittings to the tranny from the chassis. I am not a fan of the store bought kits and conversions so I did it the hard way. I love it though, feels great and works great. Its a 99 GSR trans with a 4.75 final and LSD.
Yeah I looked into all of them and this was, in my opinion the best route. I've been through probably five tranny's in the last seven years and was just sick of it. That GSR trans in like butter, worth every penny.
