Help with Brake Suggestions
no need to get anything special/pricey. I used carbon-metallic pads in the front and rear on my Accord before it was totaled and they worked great. Got them from AutoZone and had a lifetime warranty, so one time payment and no more buying pads. Thats what I would recommend.
I would have to agree with TouringAccord on this one. I've tried a number of different brake pads on my Honda's. Ceramic pads always seems to squeal. I hardly ever recommend going the cheap route, but when it comes to brake pads for a daily driver....usually the cheapies are the way to go.
Although I have never tried Hawk Pads, I have had heard good things. I just did a brake job on the fronts a few months ago and decided to stick with stock pads, since i was getting good life out of them. My rear drums hardly had any wear on them.
I have used the top of the line autozone They are duralast gold $54.99 on my 91 civic. And they grab really hard, compared to my girlfriends car with cheap non semi metallic pads. You can actually see little pieces of copper in the pads!
