Default have sum questions bout a d15 head..

i recently was driving and my car just turned off.. my timing belt tensioner gave out so i put it all back together timed and everything and it turns out i might have bent valves.. but anyways my question is if i buy a used head is it mandatory dat i resurface it? or get it cut or w.e? i heard its a must.. anyhelp will b helpful thanks.....

definitely recomended - you can run it without but may have issues...you don't necessarily know the history on the motor the other head came off of

For the extra $50 it takes for a shop to resurface it, I think it is well worth it. It would suck to have problems after you put everything together just because the head needed to be surfaced...

I would have it resurfaced just to be sure. Also while your head is off take a look at your pistions to make sure none of them are cracked.

I didn't have it done on mine and there's no problem. I pulled it from a junk yard but it was in perfect condition. I checked it on my bench before installing it.

i heard it mayb like 100 buks to do that... around here where im from.. but yea imma have to do that thanks
