MSD burning out ignitor? Anyone else experiencing this?
Does anyone have a problem with a constant ignitor failure?
My 3rd Ignitor just went bad on me and was wondering if it's because of my MSD?
I am thinking about getting a new distributor and hoping this will solve the problem, but yet I don't want to buy a new one if will go bad on me again.
Should I keep the MSD and just get a new ignitor? Or get a new distributor and take out the MSD?
Any help would be appreciated
TIA

I am going to assume that you were not burning up ignitors before you had the MSD. If this is the case...remove the MSD!
Is the MSD really worth the lack of reliablility it causes? Stock Honda ignition is fine for 90% of the setups out there.
Good luck.

Thanks for the Input guys
I have a MSD 6A + Blaster 2 set up. What do you think it could be? Bad distributor?
(BTW, I'm leaning towards taking it out while waiting for my ignitor, thinking of what Kenji said) Keep it, toss it?
