ok on my 89 crx si i was wondering i justy had a aftermarket stage 1 clutch installed i thought my clutch pedal should engage closer to the floor but it actually engages high up in the pedal and with only a inch of push into the pedal and feels weird....im used to the clutch activating at the end of pushing in the clutch as the last couple inches to activate the clutch in the pedal....can someone tell me the exact was and at what point the clutch should activate in the pedal its self

 

mine is the same way. i have lots of leeway before the clutch engages. im running an exedy stage 1 organic disk setup. from day one it was that way. when i had my first replacement clutch from zoom, it started to engage as soon as i started letting up on the pedal. ive always thought that my cable may be stretched. but now im thinking its the actual clutch...

 

wow im not the only one? i have the same clutch setup, exedy stg1 organic. Its my first clutch since i learned to drive manual so i thought all cars were like this lmfao. maybe the clutch cable is too tight?

 

no i loosened mine all the way till it has a little play and its still the same way. when i did my setup though i replaced everything, pp, disk, tob, flywheel, and the bearing that go's in the flywheel for the input shaft. i dont know if its the disk surface, or the clutch cable.
