What's up guys I'm new to the whole fabricating thing and I'm currently taking my first welding class. Just started cutting with a torch and I already love it( lame I know) lol

But anyway has anyone here ever made suspension components from scratch? I mean like strut bars and lower braces? Figured it'd be cool to get some idea's floating around.

 

Sure have.

Building a one off part out of tubes, ie tubular control arm isn't really all that difficult. Building a complex boxed control arm such as one off of a desert race truck is a little more complicated.

 

You can do anything, but I would advise you start on some less critical parts.

 

You guys have any pics of your suspension work?

And no I'll probably make some battery tie down's for my first real project. lol
