my friend has a 1995 civic i think its a dx with a d15b7 engine with around 240000 miles (i kno quite a few) its our only ride back and forth to school anyways the other day we were on our way to school and just got off the highway and out of nowhere the car stalls out and wont start back up didnt overheat or anything so we get it towed back home after school and started checking it out and though it could be the fuel filter so we replaced that and still nothing replaced the fuel pump still nothing checked for spark and it does have spark checked timing still in time took the bleeder bolt out of the filter to see if theres pressure in the fuel line and the fuel shot out over the side of the fender so its not that. tried using the jumper wire to see if it throws a code and nothing. finally today we just figured wed try and start it and it started sat and idled fine and then gave it just a little gas and it died out tried starting it again and started right back up but it pops and misfires on acceleration and when you come to complete stop it sometimes just stalls out unless you keep ur foot on the gas and keep it above 1k rpms anybody know of what this could be? any response would be greatly appreciated

check alll grounds...
and when i say check timing. i mean. timing light. and set the ignition timing as well.

 

I would check your distributor .. something similar happened to me where the car would just stall out while driving and not start also it would misfire bad throughout the rpms. It ended up being my ignition control module .. took me like 2 weeks to figure it out. hope this helps and lmk what happens.

^^^like he said check your icm my civic did the same thing and that was my problem
