Swapping my '96 OBDII F22B1 for a JDM F22B1...what needs to be removed from old motor
Since JDM motors didnt use OBDII my new Japanese motor doesn't have a crank sensor.
I was told all that would be need to do the swap was to take my old Oil pump and swap it into the new motor.
Is there anything else that needs to be done for this to go smoothly? wiring?
What seals should be replaced on the new motor if i am swapping the oil pump.
anyone have a diagram?
btw
this car is registered in California, i know its not really legal to do this swap (only OBDII motors can be swapped for OBDII) but has anyone had any problems smogging? if i swap the oil pump, cank sensor, would anyone know the better?
thanks ahead of time!

This is an easy search, there's quite a few threads on it. One thing to make sure of, take the old crankshaft/timing pulley off the old engine and put on the new. If not, you'll be like me and waste ALOT of time trying to figure out what's wrong.
