1.25ar exhaust housing. is it too big for a 81.5mm lsvtec?
I have a 81.5mm lsvtec engine and i was thinking that the 1.25ar exhaust housing would be too big for that engine. It's a borg warner turbo from tim turbos 75mm with 1.25ar.
I'm also using a inlinepro manifold with 4" downpipe and 3"ic piping

my goals are around 800 to 850hp.
I bought the turbo from tim turbos.com It's a 74 or 75mm wheel , I can't remember what he said .I know it's bigger than the s372.
The exhaust housing is 1.25
It's a street car and would take it to the track sometimes

why in the world would you put that big of a turbo on a street car that sees the track once in a while.
Either way, With that turbo i would highly recommend using a divided style manifold with a decent runner length.

No. not at all. If you're thinking you can street this car and drag race once in a while, no divided housing is going to help you. 850whp will not work well on the street. period.

I'm trying to put a smaller exhaust housing like 1.01 or 1.10 . because of the engine being stock bore. The reason i have a 1.25 exhaust housing is because i had a h22 and the turbo worked good with the set up that i had. It dynoed 680 at 26lbs of boost tuned by Jason.
