Tech: Jeep Ignition
hey guys, my ignition is messed up on my winter beater (92 Jeep Cherokee) and i have to replace the ignition on the steering column, so i took off the horn and all the brackets and stuff and unscrewed the steering wheel but when i went to pull it off it wouldn't budge i didn't wanna really pull on it in fear of messing something up, but it doesnt look like it is screwed/bolted to anything else am i safe really pulling on it?
thanks
thanks
If it's anything like other Chryslers of similar vintage, just pull straight out. I have no experience with Jeeps specifically, but that's the way Neons are.
I have a service manual for an 89 Cherokee. I can have a look at it but what are you trying to do? Just remove the lock cylinder? I'm pretty sure they used the same steering column for the longest time.
