Default 1991 Accord Auto Tranny Question!

- I just bought a Accord from my buddy for super duper cheap because of some front end damage. But now that is all fixed and I am beginning to drive the car more I have noticed that the car wont come out of park. I have to use another key to press the override command then it allows me to shift. I have just also figured out that my brake lights are not coming on.

I believe there is a couple things that I could check that might be wrong. First being the #1 fuse under the dash. Second being the #20 fuse under the hood and finally the brake switch.

Now sometimes I will press the brake pedal in super hard and it will click and I can take the car out of gear and the brake lights will work for a couple seconds and then fail.

Anybody have any information on this?

Your brake switch is either mis-adjusted or requires replacement.

It does two things, both of which you could probably guess:
Operates your Brake lights
Operates the Shift Interlock solenoid in the shifter assembly
