Default Pulling codes out of my b18a1 EF

Hey guys, new to the forums

Just got rid of my RX7, and picked up an EF with a B18A1 in it. After driving for a bit, the check engine light comes on. I was told it was a loose injector clip by the previous owner, but I fixed that and it's still coming on.

I'm not new to modded cars, but am new to modded hondas. How do I pull codes out of my beast? I know the ECU has a light in it...
I'm not sure how the whole OBD-0 and OBD-1 thing works either... If someone could offer some insight that would be great.

Thanks,

-Dirk

well most anything 88-91 is odb0 and 92-95 is obd1 but if it still has the code light on the ecu turn your key to the on postion then look at your ecu it will flash you the code then what you do is count the flashes and there will be a couple second pause in between each code and a probably 6 second or so pause when it starts over..... then heres the codes....1

OK i got the codes. Remember this isn't a stock EF, it has a 93 B18A1, so it has different codes...

Code 16- Fuel injector. Likely because I had a loose injector clip that I fixed yesterday

Code 43- Fuel supply/02 sensor. I'll order an 02 sensor and see if that fixes it.

ok, I got the number off the ECU

37820-PR4-A10
430-239563AR

So I guess it's a PR4 meaning OBD0?

I should also mention it does have an injector resistor box... which is only OBD1 correct?

hmmm good read. ok so I have a one wire 02 sensor. Do all obd0's have one wire 02's and all obd1's have 4 wire 02 sensors?

Thanks for the help guys, much appreciated. I'm not new to cars, but I just bought this thing and it's my first honda. Trying to figure it all out quickly :S haha

Just thought of something else....

I don't know if my injectors are from an obd0 b18 or an obd1 b18. Because I'm running an injector resistor box, and if the injectors are obd1, they're not getting the voltage they need....

that would be correct. obd0 use the box, obd1 get rid of it. also there are obd0 and obd1 pr4's. if there is a light on the ecu then its obd0. having the box is only going to tell you the electronics are all obd0 assuming the car has had nothing change. because someone could be using an obd1 ecu and you could still use the obd0 injectors with the res. box.

There is a light on the ECU. And there is a resistor box. But the motor is a 93. So idk if the previous owner checked what injectors it had, and just assumed it needed a resistor box.

I'll test the impedance on the injectors sometime today

Injectors are obd0 Resistance is 2.5-2.6 ohms on all 4. Now I'm not sure what to check next
