here the seller description 1993 Red Honda Civic Auto, 1.5 litre 4 Cylinder, 2 doors, power steering, cold A/C, 300K on car. 80K on Engine(Japanese engine replaced 1.5 years ago), Mint. Condition. Car will pass safety and E-test with no problem, Also no rust on car
asking $800

i was wondering what i should look for in this car. I heard also this model know for 4th gear slipping? how can i find out if the car slipping thanks

 

drive it, or if your unsure, take it to a mechanic. in my opinion a 92-95 civic that is "mint" is a good deal at $800 running or not

 

Look for rust, and look for signs that rust had be fixed, a legitmate rust free '93 civic in ontatio is more than a little uncommon, especially for $800. Mint condition means different things to different people. Take it for a test drive, see what it handles like, take it to a mechanic for an inspection if you can. I don't specifically remember any widespread problems with the automatic slipping in 4th, but I can tell you that the 5 speed manual transmission is far superior and worth looking into.

800 for a car thats safety and etested it could be a quick sale and a great deal but it could also be someone trying to make some money... just talk to the guy ask tons of questions try to figure out if hes being honest or not if you don't know him, ALWAYS check the floors ALWAYS.
