You can probably get the same if not a little more buying a D16A6 camshaft and swapping it in along with a MPFI swap.

haha, yeah, not very much. i got the same motor in my car, it sucks, i know. take your time and build a motor. not sure what kind of money you have, but you can get an enging that needs rebuilt, rebuild it and have less than 500 in it. i'm building a d16y8 right now, and trying to get 250hp on nitrous.

Yup, the cam will swap right in.
No problems with CA Smog; it's for the most part just like having a D16A6. They won't notice it's been modified just make sure you connect everything how it was to pass smog.

plus you lose bout 30% through drivetrain you want to have a fun single cam dd do multiport wit an a6 and get ya a good clutch and 7lb fidanza flywheel(or any light weight flywheel) its a world of a difference and it frees up alot of power your car doesn't struggle on the hills it usually does.... its a good investment....

I used to have a 91 DX and I put a Pacesetter cheapo cat-back on it and I actually noticed quite a bit more power.

6-8 HP on a CRX is 6-8% more power.
