Default Stuck in the middle of B16 swap

I got my motor from HMO last fri, and got it mounted in the car. I noticed that on the tranny, where the speedometer pops in are two lines that were not on my old engine. Anyone know what these are, trans cooler maybe?

Secondly, my axles, which are not installed yet, seem to be leaking grease and grinding. I called Steve and he said the bearings go bad sometimes when they are taken out of the car. I don't really want to wait for him to send me new-used ones, so what other options do I have. Would replacing the boot, grease, and clamps help with this problem, and has anyone else ran into this with their Sir axles. Finally, if I did replace them with 90-93 teg axles about how much do they run brand new. Thanks for any help

how much do the 90 teg axles cost new or used? Steve said repairing them would only be like 30 bucks, but I really don't believe everything he says. Teg axles do not need any modification to fit?

No problems with plugging the two lines?

i'm not sure what the tranny is, I was planning on not having to worry about the axles, and the speedo cable is already in to answer your questions.

the two lines coming off the speed sensor usually hook into the power steering system.

on the preludes, it has to do with the 4 wheel steering. on a civic, it may have to do with different steering line pressures dependant on speed.

yeah those 2 lines are for the power steering system. it's for steering assist at high speed.

they fit right in, in fact when u look at them u will see how identical they are to each other, however, you need to remove the dust seal thats on the back of the hub, it pops right out. oh and if you buy the axles from autozone they are 60 a peice, with a 50 core charge, so if you bring them your old ones then its 60 bucks a piece, and you cant go wrong with these cuz you get a lifetime guarentee :D
i doubt you will break them unless your running slicks at the track.

hit me up on aim if u have any more questions slowpokesi

I just replaced my axle this weekend and I got a new one from Autozone. Slowpokesi is correct, they are 59.99 plus a 55.00 core charge. I also got my motor from HMO.
