Default Shock Installation Question

First off, I will be installing a set of KYB GR-2 shocks sometime soon, seeing as how the rears are completely shot. Since I'm taking the struts out, I figured I'd take the oppurtunity to look at some of the other suspension components associated with the strut assembly.

My question is, what to look for in regards to bumpstops, shock mounts, and spring pads. Should I replace them while I'm at it, or if going by the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mentality, is there a way to inspect these parts?

To my knowledge none of the previously mentioned components have been replaced. They all should have around 144,000 miles on them. I recently had an 88 point inspection performed by a Honda dealership, and they didn't mention anything besides the rear shocks being blown. Also, I'm trying to save money since this is just my daily. If anyone has any suggestions or comments I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Some of your questions will be answered when you do the job; some bushings will not be reusable.
As a matter of good mechanical sense, I always plan to install new bushings when I do these jobs. Not only because some aren't reusable, but I don't want to have to revisit the thing because I was cheap.

Good point. I just wanted to avoid buying all of these parts, then finding out I don't need them. I guess it's inevitable though. I might as well buy them all before hand, then if I don't need them I'll just return them. Thanks P!

Yeh, it can be a real &^*%$ if you need more parts to finish, and your ride's up on jack stands
