Leaking injector
Hey guys,
I notice this problem for awhile but, I could never figure out where it was coming from. Originally it starts when I fire up my car from cold and, turn on the heat. I could smell a raw gas coming in the vents and, if I go outside I could smell it also. This only occurs when I pull the air from outside.
Recently I looked under the hood and notice gas on my fuel injector and, I made sure by poking at it and smelling it.
What should I do?

not too big of a deal, gotta pull the fuel railand unplug the injectors and one by one pop them out get the o ring off and pop on a new one. I havent done this personally on a honda engine so you may wanna hold off til someone that has done seals pops up
FWIW, on my old '90 Civic Si, one injector developed an external leak. It was obvious by the slight accumulation of dust that stuck to the wet fuel over time. Replacing the o-rings and manifold seals is a breeze. Just make sure to lubricate them first so you don't risk tearing them.

Never did a '91 but I've heard through the grapevine it's not very difficult either and a relatively quick job. Take a pic of your injector rail and post it and we can walk you through it.
take off the gas cap to release any built up pressure and then carefully disconnect all wires and hoses that need to be unhooked. Take the bolts out of your fuel rail and pull it off. NO SMOKING OR SPARKS OR FLAME! gas will come out. now remove each injector and carefully pry off the old O rings (theres an upper and a lower) and dont scratch up the injector doing so. Lube the new O rings with a little vegatable oil and pop them on. Do it one injector at a time to reduce confusion. Put it all back and enjoy non leaking car.
I would put the O-rings in the bores rather than slip them on the injector. Then just line up all the injectors and slowly push them back in. Your pics look very similar to mine, it's mainly just taking off the 3 small nuts, lifting off the rail, and changing the offending o-ring. Any o-rings that stay on the injectors, put those back in the bores so they don't tear. A little grease or vaseline is helpful too, as stated above. All in all, even for a first timer, you're looking at a 25 min job, tops.
Edit: Mine only had one seal but two shouldn't be much different.
