1995 honda civic lower control arm rear bushing bolt problems help!!
I have a 1995 honda civic lx. I am replacing the lower control arms. I did the passenger side no problem but the drivers side did not go to well. The whole lower control arm is what I am replacing even the rear part that goes into the bushing which is bolted to the sub frame. The rear bushing has three 19mm bolts two came out and the other one wont since it broke the thread off of the subframe and now is stuck on the bolt. Here is a pic

The two bolts with the silver on them are tight the other one wont tighten or loosen. I just need advice on whether it sould be fine with the two bolts or if I should attempt something.....
Thanks in advance guys!

It'll probably be ok.
But if you want to fix it, you'll have to either use a heli-coil or drill and tap for a larger bolt.
BTW I'm damn glad to live in TX where it doesn't snow... rusty bolts suck.

Thats not fun, you broke the welded captive nut inside the cross member off. The only thing I can think of is to remove the cross member (at the risk of doing the same thin to the captive nuts welded inside the car that are even harder to get at) use a hole saw to make a hole above the captive nut, remove the old nut and weld a new one in place. I did the same thing last week removing a cross member that goes with a manual rack i'm trying to sell, I just haven't fixed it yet, thats the method I plan on using though.
Damn... mines rusted but not that bad... I had a problem with the previous owner cross threaded the ***** outta the long bolt... and when i went ot do my bushings, i couldnt hardly get it out. it took like 5 minutes of straight impact. same with putting it back in. I'm planning on heli-coiling it soon. just havent had the time... I just reamed it back in there... ghetto but just didtn have the time and HAD to have the car back up. good luck man. 94EG8 seems to have a good idea. just be careful.
