Icon2 Motor Swap? (Project K24/20 in 7th Gen Accord)

I am considering a motor swap from a K24A4 to a J35A3 with a J32A2 Head. I am planning on building a NA daily driven car. Looking for mostly a decent amount of hp/tq nothing higher than 350hp. I am aiming a 250+hp/200+lb tq. Is this possible? Also this is an auto transmission, hopefully maybe I will swap into a manual transmission. I am looking for stable build, not too much after market add ons, I am looking for reliability.

UPDATE! ***********

I am going to keep the K-series motor but, I am going to swap it out for a k24a2 [TSX] block and use a k20a [RSX-S] cylinder head. Currently aiming for 500hp daily driven and tuned. Going to destroke the motor to a 2.6L BC stroker kit. 500hp is decent for me now, maybe more later.

How much power can be made with a J35A3 w/ J32A2 Head vs. K24 block with a K20A Head?

Why not just turbo the stock engine? IMO it would be a lot less work.

k24.k20 has been done more more parts aval, there are also bolt up turbo kits, fuel maangment, seemingly endless supply of cranks (rdx nitride coated are only like $800 off the dealer) and the blocks are pretty cheap from the dealer at $600 ish

more after market support.

built the k24 or just throw on a type s. too much work involved in swapping to a v6 and its not really worth it in the end. you can make 250hp on an all motor 2.4 easily.

you forget he has an auto tranny and is NOT willing to change that... i do agree that K24/K20 swap CAN net that much power... but it's much easier to swap a V6 and get over 250hp w/200tq+... those motors already come with over that amount so even in STOCK for w/o bolt-ons it will be over the numbers he's looking for... even with a slushbox...

www.powerrevracing.com has some interesting parts for the J-series engines... and some things in the works that's not on their site... check them out and if you want something let me know and i can hook you up...

P2R also had a J-series in a EF hatch turboed that made over 500hp around 5k rpms and not even fully tuned... so they do have lots of potential... just nobody works on the V6's b/c they're not popular in Japan due to strict Liter regulations...

Sounds good. Thanks for the info. Also, how much is for a J35A3 block with a J32A2 Head? How much is it for the complete setup? I might change the transmission to a manual, but unsure and less likely, BUT MAYBE.

I wish to build a K24/20, BUT seriously whats stopping me from building it is my slush box and I cant buy a new car, BUT I have money to buy parts, etc. I am planning to stick with my Accord for a long time, So I may swap transmissions because EVEN if I were to resell the car, It would be worth very low. 2003 Accord EX Coupe with 108k miles. So theres no point of keeping it stock. Its a car that I am planning to stick with for life until I get rich. LOLS. Thanks for the input everyone.

I am hoping to get some good ideas so hopefully I can start purchasing a J or K series motors, parts, etc. and start posting a build. Hopefully, everyone can guide me through the setup on a nice daily driven Accord. N/A all the way.

Any kind of decent power from a K24, even all motor, will destroy the tranny.

from you other threads it seems like you just wasnt to build SOMETHING, why don't you shop around for a crx shell and swap a k into that, keep your accords resale value, reliablity so you have a nice daily and ot some clapped out honda.

ya u should build another car if u just wanna build something. or drop a J in your car if it fits. J's are cheap, my friends have seen them on ebay for as low as $600 with like 40k miles.

J-series will definitely fit... and that's true that they are relatively cheap to buy...

It does fit. Different motor mounts probably. The Accord has a 3.0 J motor, I believe. I used to have a V6 Accord 2003 Sedan. 3.0L.
