Windshield wiper arms help
Hey all,
My wiper arms on my 96 civic is starting to look bad. Most of the black has peeled off and so I'm going to clean it up and prime and paint. I thought I had read somewhere a long time ago that I needed to disconnect the battery prior to removing the wiper arms.
Can anyone confirm that it correct? If so, why is it necessary?
Thanks for any and all help!

No u don't have to disconnect the battery to remove the window wiper arms because as long as the car isn't on and as long as the windshield wiper lever isn't activated, ur okay. Just remove the bolt and remove the arms.
One thing u must do is mark the position of the wiper before removing it. It will save u the hassle of guessing where it used to go. Just take some masking tape and mask around the wiper arm onto the windshield. ONce u spray ur windshield wiper arms, put em back on using the tape as a guide to where they went.
