I'm new. Just bought a 01 S2000...what next?
I just bought my s2000...my last car was a 2001 CL Type S so, big change. I love my new car but now that I have it, I don't know what to do with it. I'm stuck on the idea of an invidia exhaust, but I don't want to do anything or spend any money on anything that will make me regret my choices. Any thoughts out there? Any help is a big help. Thanks all.

We have an introduction thread. Who are we to tell you what is next? If you dont know what do to with your S2000, I suggest looking the picture thread for ideas or doing a search on exhaust if that it what you are looking for.
T1R 70mm sounds sweet, i just so happen to have one for sale at 800$. buy it and paypal me, that would be the next step.
Welcome to the family.
If I had it to do over again, I would have purchased a MY2002 instead of my MY2000. They're simply more refined have a lot of small things that make the car better in my opinion.
I would ride in a S2K with Invidia exhaust before you throw down the money. In my opinion, it's mind-numbing LOUD.

i would suggest you get to know the car before you wrap it around a pole. not sur eif you have owned a s2k before or not, but they can get out of control if you're not familiar with their limit.
a '01 CL-s will be totally different than the s2k and you don't want to find out the hard way. even if you have owned other rwd cars before, the s2k was still hard to learn for me, after owning rx7's in the past.
welcome!!!

any 70mm single with test pipe. I want the T1R 70R-em turn down. It's fairly quiet compared to other 70mm singles. But if you wanna sound like a race car on the street, Amuse R1000 hands down!
Best bang for the buck... EASY
1- test pipe
2- stock airbox mod and high flow factory replacement filter.
3- throttle body spacer
done and done
FYI, and exhaust is no where NEAR the best bang for buck. Just saying...
how would a TB spacer help?
the spacers induce more swirl and tumble into the combustion chamber (better for carbed v8). not so much a factor on the F20/F22 and will not see any noticeable power.
i would say they are more aesthetic. the spacers do make for a cleaner engine compartment when you consider how many extra vacuum hoses you will have for a turbo car.
i would look at getting a VAFC, intake (comptech), exhaust (plenty to choose from), and test pipe/hi flow cat. the VAFC and a dynotune is best bang for the buck IMO even if your car is stock, but would be better with previous mentioned mods.
