i got my 1200's from joe simpson back in early 06, at that time i sent them to rc for a clean and balance. they have been in the car since then. i dont see any issues. should i let em fly? i have never used a set of injectors strictly for leaded fuel. on the t type, it got driven on the street with unleaded when not racing.
thanks fellas.
thanks fellas.
Depends on how dirty the fuel is/was.
But if you're concerned, new inlet screens are only about $1.50 each. Use a wood screw in a vice to rip the old ones out, press the new ones in.

i was actually more concerned with spray pattern, (varnish) fuel was always screened into the jug, and the tank is new with pre and post filters. but thanks for the reply.
Mikey i would just be better safe than sorry. i ran 2 seasons with my 1600's. Im gonna get mine flow tested and cleaned for 09. and i'm gonna get new filters again for mine. Then goes new timing belt and oil pump. and i should be good to go!
I honestly wouldnt risk it, a clogged or improperly spraying could cause some serious issues if under full boost, especially for only 24$/inj
Makes sense not to risk it...I ran my injectors with leaded fuel at the track about 1 time per week then the rest unleaded, I havent had any problems in 3 years with my rc's but im getting them cleaned this year
