NEED HELP Toda camgear timing marks.
I could really use some help here.
I had someone dyno tune my Toda camsprockets, and I'm not too sure he knows what he's doing. He swears that he set this camgear to 2 degrees, but looks like 10 to me.
Sorry for the crude drawing:
The first mark to the right lines up with the lower dotted mark.
1. Is this 2degrees or 10?
2. Is 10 safe ? (for intake)
thanks!

It will be easier if you post pic of the gear instead of drawing it.
If it is two degrees cam, count the marks (from the center ones with the dot) on the inner and outer gear; the 4th mark of each should line up.

b2finity is correct also.
2 degree advance from what? Was your cams true tdc when he started messing with the gears?
2 degrees from 8 degrees is 10; assuming that 8 degrees was your cams tdc.

.....also, the picture you posted looks like 10 degrees RETARDED not advanced. Unless you have some serious milling of the head or cleaning of the deck, that can't be making power on the intake cam.....
Here's a pic of my intake cam at +15 (yes it's possible on stock itr):

Thanks guys, I really appreciated this.
I was concerned the 10degrees was too much.
After a second take, it is 8.5 degrees advance on intake, and 4 degrees retard on exaust.

Am I wrong? Do correct me if I am.
.....yes. It appears that you have no experience with these cam gears. Your heart is in the right place, and your willingness to help is much appreciated. The markings are quite different on these toda GEN 2 cam gears than say skunk, aem, etc...
Damn, I sounded like an arrogant *** in my last post here.
Sorry man.
Anyway, degrees on these things are kinda weird: line up the 1st line and 1st line and it's 1 degree, 2nd line and 2nd line and it's 2 degrees... and so on.....
