Hey everyone, i am new to this forum, i registered to get help on fixing my car, someone broke into my car today and when i got back to my car, my passenger window was smashed into bits and i saw this:







I can't even start up my car now, i really need my car and need to fix this asap, but i dont have alot of money and i know alittle bit about cars and wondering if i can buy a starter ignition switch assembly or something like that with a key and try replace the entire assembly myself.

But i been searching online for places to buy a ignition assembly and couldn't find any, please can someone help?

Also i need to replace the passenger side window and i will go look around in a few junk yards to see if there are 01-03 civics that i can take the passenger window from, if not, where can i get one online at a decent price?

There should be a little white thing on the other side thats held on by 2 small screws take it off and use your key or screw driver to turn the ignition over. I had this done to my car 17 times before they finally stole my car. The thieves were rookies but its a sure sign that you need to install 50 kill switches and GPS hidden in your car.

 

honestly, it looks like they did try to start it, but couldnt get past the immobilizer. the little slot at the end of the hole is the actual switch, but if the immobilizer wont read, youre not going to get it started. Im afraid this one might need to go to the dealer because you might be a little over your head. I only say this because you need the HDS to program the keys.

 

I see.. Well will an assembly like this work? I was thinking instead of using the stock key, i can use 2 keys, the one i have right now to just open the doors and this one just to start up the car..
